Ryan and his guys were just back to Swift Current after doing chores – wedding or holiday, the works still needs to be done – and they were about to start suiting up when the Ring Bearer turned to Ryan and said, “I will give you my Swift Current Broncos hat and bring you cookies everyday if I get to marry Angèle instead of you.” Now Ryan really likes cookies but that offer solicited no hesitation as he got into his suit and headed off to meet his stunning bride.

It was an honour to photograph this New Years Eve wedding in Swift Current. Angèle is my cousin and Ryan has become an important part of our crazy, huge family.  Their day was filled with family, friends and love; and the night flew by in blur of dancing, visits and tipsy cups. A truly great celebration, and the perfect way to start a new year. Congratulations, Angèle & Ryan!

Thanksgiving 2016 and there’s snow on the ground! I don’t think Cherie and Raygan were dreaming of a white wedding when they picked their wedding date but they definitely made the most of it, plus the mixed colours that Cherie chose for her girls’ dresses really popped against the snow. These two, their family and their bridal party were so cooperative when we still wanted to do photographs outside in the cold – they were all pros at thinking warm thoughts while we snapped away. We think the results were worth it! Congratulations, Cherie & Raygan!

There’s a special responsibility that comes with being hired to photograph someone’s wedding. We are charged with documenting a much anticipated event, and capturing intimate moments that may otherwise slip by; the photos we take will become their memories one day and they’ll be passed down as a family legacy. In this case, we’ve photographed all of the weddings in Christopher’s immediate family and we’re very proud to have captured so many memories for such a quality group of people and we have so enjoyed getting to know them and see them grow as a family. Christopher is the 3rd and last of his siblings to tie the knot and his and Krista’s wedding was the 3rd in their family that we were hired to photograph. We have to say, to be trusted by a family repeatedly in such a way is an incredible honour.  Thanks, Krista and Chris for including us in your day and trusting us with your memories – it was a wonderful day. Congratulations!

The following Swift Current vendors helped in creating Krista & Christopher’s beautiful day:

  • Flowers: Smart Flowers (Poppy Parsons)
  • Ceremony & Reception venue: IPlex

It had been raining off and on the morning of Emma & Josh’s wedding. Everyone was frantically checking the weather radar for the area just south of Swift Current as the time for the outdoor ceremony drew closer. Guests began to arrive at Emma’s family’s farm and slowly but surely the rain let up. Emma walked down the aisle to greet her groom under a cloudy sky but at the moment of their first kiss as husband and wife, the clouds parted and it was perfect.

We spent the rest of the day under sunny prairie skies at an old farm stead on Emma’s parent’s land. It made for a beautiful, rustic backdrop before we headed back to the newly built shop for their beautiful reception. We were so happy to capture such a wonderful celebration. Congratulations, Emma & Josh.

Meghan &  Jason had a beautiful, hot, sunny day for their wedding in Swift Current with a little bit of rain in the evening to cool things off. Jason prepared for the big day at the Home Inn & Suites, while Meghan got ready at their home with her mother and her bridesmaid. Their ceremony took place outside in Elmwood Park where they were surrounded by the love of their friends and family. After the ceremony and family photos we whisked the happy couple off for photos all around the city, making use of the prairie backdrop and their gorgeous, natural smiles. We ended the day in the Sky Centre at the Living Sky Casino (which Meghan – with help from friends and family – had decorated magnificently) where everyone shared a lovely meal, plenty of drinks, and tons of fun dancing (thanks to Sensational Sounds) and visiting.

Thanks for a great day, Meghan & Jason!

Are you planning your own walk down the aisle? We’d love to capture it for you. Please get in touch for more information and availability!
